I love the fair. I miss going to the North Carolina State Fair. My family went to the fair every year and we made some really great memories. My Mom always cooked lunch. We all wanted fair food, but her food was WAYYYYYY better!!! She made fried chicken and snap beans and potato salad. Anyone in my family who went with us will agree her food was the best. These are oldie-goldie State Fair pictures from those days.

Last night I went to the fair with my translators (Deni and Sherlo) and I think half the people that lived on my street went too. We had an awesome time!!

The fair was mostly for children. These are large pictures on styrofoam kids could paint.

They had a fishing pond. You know the one with the magnet on the end of a string. The kids catch the magnetized fish and put them in a bucket. This reminded of the game at the State Fair where you won a goldfish. I wonder how many goldfish died before they put a stop to that game?

Following the family State Fair tradition, I rode the ferris wheel. My neighbor across the street road with me and a few others from the street rode in other cars. This was not your normal ferris wheel. This thing went really fast. Take a look at the video if you do not believe me. My neighbor was praying to get off and I was hoping it would just slow down.

They had adult games too! For this game, you knocked cans over with a soccer ball. Seems easy right. Watch the video. My neighbor played and won!

Thank you Deni, Sherlo, and my neighbors for taking me to the fair!!! It was awesome!
