I flew to New York City November 25 to apply for my visa–finally after 5 months of working on the process. I picked up my visa on November 27–thank you to all of you at the Indonesian Consulate in NYC for margin that a painless process!

I stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham New York Midtown South/5th Ave. Rooms are small, but the hotel is 2 blocks from the Empire State Building, 5 blocks from Times Square, and about 10 blocks from Rockefeller Center. Great location!!!

The Empire State Building just underwent a major renovation so go check it out. The 102nd floor is now open and here is the view.

I left on Thanksgiving Day morning, so did not see the parade. I DID go to the annual blowing up of the balloons. That was WAYYYY cool!!!
